Jack Oliver Street (standing on the right) with his father. Jack came to Beacon in Western Australia to work as a farm hand for Harry Dunne. From Beacon he joined the army. He was killed by an explosion of a Japanese artillery shell on the Malayan Peninsula in 1942.

His name appears on the Honour Roll at the Beacon Men’s Shed.
